I.  Pilates Mat Classes

Introduction to Pilates Mat: This class introduces the fundamentals and principles of the classical Pilates Method of exercise. Each student will receive special attention to ensure that they learn the proper form and execution of all exercises. This class is perfect for those students who are new to Pilates, or for those looking to"brush up on the basics." It is also appropriate for individuals who are recovering form mild injuries  and are looking for a safe way to workout.
(50 minutes - Ground Floor Studio II)

Pilates Mat (Mixed Level): This mixed level Pilates mat class focuses on strength, precision, and flow of movement. In this small class setting the teacher will present the exercises at multiple levels which allows students to choose to work at a beginning, intermediate, or advanced pace.  Students will learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the  deep muscles of the core.
(50 minutes - Ground Floor Studio II)

Mat Pilates with Props: Various props such as flex bands, foam rollers, Pilates rings, light weights, and balls are incorporated to enhance and intensify this Pilates workout.  In addition, the instructor provides class participants with movement options and modifications to ensure that each person is working safely and at her/his appropriate level of challenge.  With regular attendance, students will experience increased strength, flexibility, and stamina.
(50 minutes - Ground Floor Studio II)

Foam Roller Myofascial Release For Injury Prevention:  This class is designed to release muscle tension, restore soft tissue suppleness, enhance performance, and prevent athletic injuries.  Working with the foam roller is one of the most effectives ways to relieve muscle tightness, improve mobility, and realign your skeletal system.  Foam rolling, also known as self myofascial release, is like getting a massage without the expense of a massage therapist. Expect to feel rejuvenated and restored after this 30 minute class!  (30 minutes - Ground Floor Studio II)

II.  Booty Barre™ Classes

The Booty Barre™ – Flex and Flow: This is the perfect blend of deep muscle toning with cardio vascular intervals to pump up your heart rate.  Flex and Flow incorporates the fluidity of ballet, the flexibility of yoga and the core strengthening of Pilates. The class is designed in specific sequences that build strength from static movements and flexibility from long, sweeping dance-based movements. This dynamic class is designed for all fitness levels and it is the perfect pre-requisite class to the more advanced movements of the Booty Barre Plus class. No dance experience required.
(55 minutes)

The Booty Barre™ – Plus: Booty Barre™ Plus builds on the movements of the Flex and Flow class and adds more intense exercises for those who enjoy a rigorous group exercise experience.  The Booty Barre™ Plus is a structured, easy-to-follow pre-choreographed class routine that provides a total body workout with a cardio component to compliment your Pilates program!!  The Booty Barre™ Plus offers exercisers the original Booty Barre™ experience, alternating deep muscle-toning movements along with intervals of fat-blasting cardio techniques. The fluid dance-inspired class is set to an upbeat music selection at a vigorous pace to get your heart pumping. No dance experience is required.
(55 minutes)

III.  Pilates Equipment:  Privates, Semi-Privates (Duets) and Small Group Classes

The Pilates equipment sessions are offered in three formats as described below.

A.  Private: Personal Pilates training is done on a one to one basis.  Clients may choose to do the entire                                  workout on the mat, on the Pilates apparatus, or both.

B.  Semi-Private (Duet): Two students share a workout with one trainer providing the instruction.

C.  Small Group Classes: All equipment classes are choreographed to provide a total body workout utilizing the spring resistance of the reformers,  towers, cadillacs, and chairs. Up to five students may workout simultaneously on the equipment. The instructor will lead the class through a series of exercises ranging from beginning to advanced levels customizing each move in accordance with individual needs.

Pilates  Equipment Class Descriptions:

Pilates Small Group Equipment Classes: Small group equipment classes are performed on a variety of Pilates apparatus including:  Reformers, Towers (Cadillacs), and Chairs.  Each class begins with a brief warm-up on the mat followed by a structured workout on one or more of the primary pieces of Pilates equipment noted above.  Students will enjoy the endless variety of body sculpting exercises that can be performed on this specialized equipment.  The instructors ensure that each student enjoys a fresh, invigorating workout every time by offering a wide variety of classical and contemporary Pilates exercises.  Because the classes are small, the instructors are able to customize and modify the movements to suit each person's fitness level.

Reformer Jump Board: If you are looking to add a Pilates inspired cardiovascular workout to your regimen, this class is for you!  The jump board is a standard piece of Pilates equipment used on the Reformers to provide a fun, challenging alternative to rev up your cardiovascular system.  Participants will enjoy an intense, efficient, low impact workout that will raise the heart rate while working the core.  Pre-requisite:  experience on the Reformer, injury free.
